The first thing we do when we arrive at your home to clean your carpet is to measure out the spaces you would like to have cleaned and present you with a quote.  From there we pre-spray the carpet with a commercial strength (yet non-toxic and biodegradable) carpet cleaning solution.  Much like doing laundry, we find it most effective to pre-treat the carpet in this way and allow the cleaning agents to dwell in the carpet fibers for several minutes before steam cleaning.  From there, it is time for the steam cleaning and extraction using our truck mounted carpet cleaning machine.
