The busy season is underway. The snow is gone and Spring cleaning is in full swing. In the next couple of weeks Pristine will be cleaning carpet from Elk Rapids to Suttons Bay, and from Lake Ann to the Old Mission Peninsula. It seems that many people are anxious to open up their spring cottages or ready their home for the Memorial Day holiday and having clean carpets and floors is on the top of people's indoor to-do list.
Not only do we have a variety of locations that we'll be servicing in the next few weeks, we also have a wide variety of flooring types that we'll be cleaning. One cottage on the list has a room with wool carpet. Wool carpet is becoming rare to see these days, and must be handled with care. Being a natural fiber, wool can shrink if treated with too high of heat and can easily be damaged with the typical carpet cleaning solutions that have a high PH. We will also be tackling a commercial cleaning job where the tile floors need to be stripped and waxed. The products used for stripping and waxing a floor have become friendlier to both the user and the environment in the past decade. And of course we have many carpet cleaning jobs in Traverse City that range from annual maintenance cleaning to tackling tough pet stains.
